As he rests in the peace with the angels, his earthly brothers, sisters, and fans still feel the gap he left. The Triplets Ghetto Kids (TGK) prepare to remember one of their own, Alex Ssempijja, who died three years ago.

In November 2015, Uganda was filled with grief as Alex Ssempijja, the pioneer of the TGK was involved in a bicycle accident which led to his death.

Alex was a very important figure in the rise to fame of the TGK as one of the pioneers of the music and dance group.

His rise to fame started at an early age as he appeared in Eddy Kenzo’s music videos, Zivuga and Mudeke. He later convinced his friends to let go of the life on streets and join his group which was named the Ghetto Kids.

It is from his scratch that the Triplets Ghetto Kids was formed but at fourteen, his own journey was cut short by wounds sustained in a bicycle accident.

His talent also helped inspire various kids of his generation as he gave them a belief that one can come off the streets and become one of the biggest figures in the country.

His comrades have invited the general public to a memorial service to celebrate his life as they remember him.

The mass will be held on 30th November 2018 at Makulungo Church Kibibi and thereafter they will visit Alex’s final resting place.

Continue resting in peace Alex. You’re dearly missed!
