Fik Fameica is probably the hottest item in Uganda’s music industry but he is in hot soup after KTA Advocates issued his management with an intention to sue for copyright infringement.

Chin Bees, in representation of KTA Advocates, forwarded a intentions to sue file to Karma Ivie Management indicating that Fik Fameica’s song Mafia was copied from the Tanzanian hip-hop artiste’s song titled Pepeta.

Chin Bees’ song ‘Pepeta’

Mafia is one of Fik Fameica’s top songs that elevated him to the position he is in the Ugandan music industry.

KTA Advocates stressed that their client is the rightful owner of the intellectual property/music which he composed in Pepeta.

They indicate that it came to their notice that Fik Fameica’s song Mafia that was released in 2018 has so much likeliness to Chin Bees’ composition in the way it sounds and arrangement.

It is for the above reason that they demand that Fik Fameica and management drops further promotion of the Mafia song, desist from further performances of the song, and take it down from all the social media sites.

They also demand inventory from the proceeds earned from the song within seven days from receipt of the letter which is dated 23rd November 2018.
