To give his own account about the topic that has been trending since Saturday night when Michael Ross was bounced off stage at Ginuwine’s concert, Maurice Kirya has equated fellow singer to Michael Jackson.

Michael Jackson? Sounds like big shoes to fill.

On Saturday 1st December 2018, amidst Ginuwine’s performance at the R&B Safari event which took place at the Commonwealth Resort in Munyonyo, Michael Ross was thrown off stage by bouncers when he attempted to entertain the fans with his dance moves.

In a trending video, he is seen being thrown off the stage and into the fans section by bouncers who seemed not to get the memo that Michael Ross was a big fan of Ginuwine’s, and also a big star of his own making.

Amidst the several trolls on social media, fellow celebrities have come out to stand with the Ndakwikundira singer. Among those include King Saha and Maurice Kirya, who is a childhood friend of Ross’.

Kirya says that since childhood, Michael Ross has been a die-hard fan of Ginuwine and would try to emulate the American singer’s lifestyle as well as mastering his dance moves.

Star Struck: Michael Ross and Ginuwine at a press conference on Friday

“He emulated Ginuwine to the dot and would even unbutton his shirt to reveal his skinny chest and six packs to screaming adoring fans, he was our own Ginuwine, our own usher, our Michael Jackson!!”

He goes on to mention that it meant a lot to Michael Ross to be on that stage and no one else deserved it better than him.

Honestly speaking, Michael Ross is one of Uganda’s top acts when it comes to the R&B music genre. Whether he deserved to be on that stage or bounced off it, he lives to see another day and tell the tale.

One factor remains however, he is a star and we should celebrate him.
