Kyadondo East Member of Parliament, also singer, Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu a.k.a Bobi Wine has come out to label Uganda Police as an absolute shame after an entire night on the run trying to hide away from officers who attempted to arrest him following the blockage of his show in Jinja.

Just yesterday, Bobi Wine was barred from accessing Queens Palace, a venue in Jinja where he had been booked to perform. This is just one of the several music shows he has been blocked from in a space of about three months.

His team members were arrested and whisked out of Jinja town as the Kyarenga singer managed to escape and hide for the entire night from the armed policemen.

Despite the late night roadblocks and intense searches that were mounted throughout the night by police in his pursuit, he managed to hide away and only traveled back to Kampala today morning.

What Bobi has completely failed to understand is how the police unprofessionally carries out its operations of which he believes he is only being targeted for selfish reasons.

He uses yesterday’s scenario as a case in point where he made a public appearance in broad daylight but police chose to pursue him in the darkness of the night.

Bobi, addressing his followers from his home in Magere, has ordered the police to release all the people that were arrested last night in Jinja because they did not commit any crime.

He also needs answers on why he has completely been banned from practicing his talent as a musician yet his fellow artistes continue having concerts and shows around the country.
