A year back, the Da Nu Eagles Production CEO and singer Irene Namatovu Lutya promised to always give back to charity initiatives through her foundation the Irene Namatovu Orphans Initiative.
The singer again walked the talk as she extended her generous hand to the children of Lugonza and Kibumba primary schools in Kanabulemu, Kyotera.
Here, the Nsabira Nyuma Nga Janzi singer was seen having some light moment with the orphans and even took part in the day’s activities including a netball game where her team played against the school pupils.

After the games, Namatovu shared part of her touching life story as she encouraged the little orphans not to lose hope.
She narrated about how she was also an orphan as she later displayed to them the AFRIMMA award which she won recently in Accra, Ghana as a sign of the great things that come with perseverance.
Irene was forced to shed tears when a primary six pupil narrated her saddening story of how she was tortured by her stepmother until she ran away from home to her to her uncle who secured her the chance of getting education at the orphanage.
The singer promised that if they successfully complete their primary level education she will furthermore them a hand in secondary school, something which was received with a loud applause from the children.
Among the items that she delivered at the school for the festive celebrations included bags of rice, boxes of soap, salt, bread among other items.
