With Kyadondo East MP Robert Kyagulanyi alias Bobi Wine‘s new song Tuliyambala Engule having spent less than 48 hours since its release, it has already started receiving mixed reviews.
The reactions are being spearheaded by controversial city Pastor Martin Ssempa who pointed out his dislikes about the song.
Pastor Ssempa started by stressing how he was glad by Bobi Wine singing a Balokole Revival song Olutalo Nga Luwedde but went ahead and noted that the problem was when he changed the meaning and message of the song.
He asserted that the song talks about a believer’s good fight as a pilgrim headed for heaven in the Biblical “New Jerusalem”.
Going by Bobi’s lyrics however, the self-styled Ghetto gladiator claims that he is the New Jerusalem when he becomes Uganda’s President.
Pastor Ssempa furthermore noted that ‘Battle’ or ‘Olutalo’ is a Balokole song used in battling against Satan and his demonic minions of the World. He concluded urging Bobi to compose another rap song for the battle.
Let @HEBobiwine compose new wine political songs for his campaign! I refuse to participate in the distortion and mutilation of our collective #balokole heritage for @HEBobiwine political campaigns. I wish him well, just let him compose "another rap" suitable for the "battle". pic.twitter.com/oj7NzgiGeQ— Ssempa = Gabriel Baaba Gwanga'Mujje (@martinssempa) January 1, 2019
