Yesterday marked the launch of the historic UOT night as a number of people came through to meet and interact with the people behind the handles they all see on Twitter.
When influencer and social media strategist Fred Mwebya best known as UgaMan announced that he was looking for a bar to partner with him, several ridiculed however several stakeholders saw this is an opportunity and decided to engage him.
Fast forward, Fame Lounge and Restaurant stepped up and asked to host the inaugural Ugandans on Twitter theme night.
From fine girls to composed gentlemen, the night started with intense interactions about social aspects, influencing among other things before later changing to an entirely football one for some.
Notable personalities in attendance included Albert Mucunguzi who is a Digital Director at TBWA Uganda, Mathias Ssemanda a renown digital marketing consultant , Journalist Brian Mulondo working with KFM and Kwese, SafeBoda’s Musinguzi Moses commonly known as NumbaEmu among others showed up.
We therefore can say the event really emerged a success on day one and perhaps the next edition will garner even more people given that there are several benefits attached to the night like free cocktails, discounts on all drinks and definitely meeting your favorite Twitter personalities.
