Celebrated British worship artist, songwriter and producer Martin Smith will be welcomed to perform at Watoto, a church located in the heart of Kampala.
This will not be the first time the international artist will be in Uganda. He was in the country in May 2008 to visit some of the Watoto villages outside the capital Kampala.
Smith and his wife Anna founded Compassion Art – a charity based in Littlehampton, England, with the aim of generating income from works of art to assist in the relief of suffering around the planet.
Smith was front man of the ground-breaking modern worship band ‘Delirious’ before it disbanded in 2009, the 48-year old becoming a solo artist.
They were best known for their modern worship songs “Rain Down”, “Majesty”, “Lord You Have My Heart”, “Thank You for Saving Me”, “Did You Feel the Mountains Tremble?”, “What a Friend I’ve Found” and their 1994 song “I Could Sing of Your Love Forever” which has been called a “modern worship classic” and is their most popular song in the United States.
