Catherine Kusasira never stops surprising us, does she? The songstress has revealed how she feels betrayed by singer and Kyadondo East MP Bobi Wine.

With the revelation of the proposed regulations on public performances, several artistes joined the general public to air out their views regarding the laws.

The artistes, through their unifying body, organized a meeting at Jahazi Pier over the weekend to discuss a way forward and one of the major surprises at the meeting was Catherine Kusasira’s appearance.

The singer who is in support of anything proposed by the government, including these regulations, was among those who turned up to discuss about the issues at hand.

With several artistes pinning the regulations to be biased and targeting one artiste, Bobi Wine in particular, Catherine Kusasira feels that is not necessarily true.

She rather states that the rules are meant for the goodness and development of the industry.

“An artiste will have a high bargaining power unlike before when musicians used to perform for less in different areas. If an artiste is required to perform in one place, they will be paid highly.”

She further noted that she feels betrayed by the artistes in parliament especially Bobi Wine because they have not represented the music industry as expected.

“We supported Bobi Wine to go to Parliament and that is precisely why I even sung for him during his rallies before he joined Parliament but I feel betrayed because he’s not doing what we wanted him to do.”

Kusasira added

Well, there you have it. She’s disappointed!
