One of Tanzania’s best artistes Harmonize is likely to spend a while behind bars after Dar es Salaam governor ordered for his arrest for allegedly smoking weed.
Tanzania is becoming an uncomfortable place to live if you are an artiste. The laws and regulations that govern the country seem to be too strict for Wasafi artistes to follow.
Dar es Salaam city Governor Paul Makonda has called upon the Governor of Ghana to ensure that whatever Harmonise is smoking isn’t weed.
This comes after he came across photos on social media showing Harmonize smoking cigars. Mr Makonda suspects that the artist was most likely smoking weed.
He says that if it is confirmed that Harmonize was indeed smoking weed, he will be immediately arrested as soon as he touches down in Dar es Salaam.
The governer argues that the artiste is selling a very bad image of Tanzania to Ghana yet it is well known that his country is tough in the fight against the use of drugs.
He also asks his equals in Ghana to ensure that Harmonize is arrested if found taking weed in their country or anywhere.
Harmonize is currently in Ghana working on his new song with Burna Boy for which they are shooting a video. He is also making a couple of media tours in the West African country.
The governor revealed all this during a meeting which he held with all Dar es Salaam based artists. Diamond Platnumz, Wema Sepetu, among others were in attendance.
