For over eight years, Kabalagala-Muyenga road has been one of the most vibrant places in Kampala with De Posh Bar and Restaurant being one of the best hangouts in the area.

The vibrancy was however lost over the years with the rise of other creative and crowd pulling bars within the area which led to a decline in De Posh’s clientele.

De Posh bar before refurbishment

The bar was refurbished about four years ago as the owners looked to match the dynamic business with the rise of new hangouts within Kampala.

This was looked at as a great move because it turned out to be one of the posh bars in Kabalagala, all black with clean mirrors, sexy waitresses, and such a lit outlook.

But the bar business is not just about appearance of the bar and big space. It is about so many other factors including exceptional marketing, creativity, among other aspects.

The CEO of the bar, Victoria Konie Nakuburwa announced the indefinite closure of De Posh last evening as she retired from nightlife.

She thanked the esteemed customers who have supported the business for eight years and promised to keep them in know of her next move after this.

Word from close sources reveals that Victoria has found new love in agriculture and wants to take on farming as a full time career.

We shall keep you updated on all details.
