We all know how the political climate affected the entertainment industry. It did not only affect the big guns but singer Allan Hendrik Ssali, Bebe Cool’s son, also at one time fell a victim of it.
Allan Hendrik, who now prefers to be called Paper Daddy, revealed in an interview with NBS TV’s ‘Uncut‘ show that at one time a DJ at a bar refused to play his songs.
In singer Allan Hendrik’s explanation he stressed that the Dj simply refused to play his music because he is not a supporter of the ‘People Power’ cult led by Kyadondo East MP Robert Kyagulanyi, alias Bobi Wine.
But since he always distances himself from trouble he decided to keep calm and pushed on with his other business. when pressed to mention the DJ’s name, he also decided to keep him in anonymity.
It should be remembered that in the same interview the ‘Tebakutambala’ singer noted that he respects each and every person in showbiz whether others disrespect him or not but will always keep a calm guy.
Well, could Allan’s strategy of being peaceful and respectful in showbiz win him Ugandan music fans despite still not being recognized by many?
