Legendary American jazz saxophonist and songwriter Kirk Whalum is slated to perform in Uganda in nine days to come.

Born 11th July 1958, Kirk Whalum is an icon in the Jazz music category. He has performed alongside global stars including Whitney Houston (RIP).

Over the years, he has gained 12 Grammy nominations and won his first Grammy award in 2011 when his song It’s What I Do featuring Lalah Hathaway won in the Best Gospel Song category.

Whalum will be performing at Kampala Serena Hotel at the Jazz For The Rotary Blood Bank event on 7th March 2019.
