The rate at which musical battles are erupting like mushrooms has left rapper Daniel Kigozi, a.k.a Navio questioning if they are really relevant in the industry.?

Navio’s question comes at a moment when female artists, Sheebah and Cindy have been bossing the entertainment scene due to a proposed battle that many of their fans want to witness.

Unfortunately, the battle is unlikely to happen since Sheebah Karungi’s manager, Jeff Kiwa requested for a billion shillings to let his artist take part in the proposed battle.

Battles za music zifuuse battles… I also want a battle, ani anjagala mu battle?? Teri kulooopa.
Are these battles relevant in this ent. industry??

Cindy – Sheebah

But as everybody was still concentrating on the Sheebah – Cindy battle, the male artists also decided not to be left out and jumped on the train.

Struggling singer Latinum started by calling out A Pass for a battle at Kyadondo, then Yung Mulo followed by requesting Bebe Cool to face him at Cricket Oval labeling his battle as the only battle that matters.

However, the two struggling artists (Latinum and Yung Mulo) were treated with a baptism of fire from their followers for not knowing the sizes they should battle with.

As we still ponder about the relevancy of battles in the entertainment industry, do you think battles are a break or make for artists?

All your opinions are welcome.
