Fresh Kid is now a national asset that should be taken care of – Eddy Kenzo

Since Patrick Ssenyonjo a.k.a Fresh Kid burst onto the scene, he has been a topic of discussion the latest of which is Hon. Nakiwala Kiyinji urging him to stop singing and concentrate on his studies.

Several celebrities, music critics, and fans have had their say about the issue, with most standing with Fresh Kid to keep singing because they believe he is a specially talented child.

While speaking on our live show – The PODIUM – the 2015 BET ‘Viewer’s Choice Best New International Artist’ award winner advised the minister to let Fresh Kid make a living out of his talent.

Fresh Kid

The whole country is responsible as a whole about Fresh Kid’s matters. It’s not the minister’s sole concern. She needs to go and research the current trends in the world. Take a look at the likes of Justin Bieber, Ariana Grande, Emmanuella from Nigeria. Fresh Kid is not the first kid to do music.

Even before making such a public announcement, she should have called Fresh Kid, his management, and the parents to discuss about what’s happening.

It is the government’s responsibility to take care of Fresh Kid because he is not an ordinary child, we should acknowledge that. He is now a national asset. The government should focus on him the same way they focus on coffee.
