On 21st March 2019, the Speaker of the Ugandan Parliament Hon. Rebecca Alitwala Kadaga fell ill upon returning to Uganda from abroad.

It was reported that she had collapsed due to fatigue caused by a hectic work schedule.

More reports made rounds on several platforms indicating how she had been flown out of the country whilst in critical condition.

Hon. Kadaga has refuted the claims that her condition was critical and denied being flown to Italy for treatment.

She affirmed that she fell ill and was taken to Nakasero Hospital before being flown to Aga Khan Hospital in Nairobi for improved healthcare.

She says she is in a better health condition now and cannot wait to be discharged soon in order to get back to her duties of service to Uganda.

We wish her the very best of recvoery.
