Hon. Frank Kagyigyi Tumwebaze had a say about events over the Easter period when Bobi Wine’s concerts were suspended. He says that it’s safer for the Kyadondo East MP to cooperate with the police.

It should be remembered that Bobi Wine did not get the chance like several fellow musicians across the country to perform during the four-day Easter holiday.

Security forces sealed off One Love Beach in Busabala where Bobi was prepared to perform for his fans on Easter Monday. The legislator was arrested upon arrival at the venue and taken back to his home.

Frank Tumwebaze, the current Cabinet Minister of Information Technology and Communications in the Cabinet of Uganda, had a say when asked about the matter while on an interview.

While appearing on NBS TV earlier today morning, Hon. Tumwebaze stated that Bobi Wine should always cooperate with the police in order to be in a safer position.

Tumwebaze reasoned that Bobi might have been saved by the suspension because certain people would want to use the concert to harm him and blame it on the ruling party.

What I know is that a political contender wants to ride on the innocent music goers and politic. From the crowd you’ve invited, there could be people who want to harm you (Kyagulanyi) and blame it on the government.

As NRM, we blame the police for making these guys (opposition) heroes. What if someone hurts this opposition figure? It is safer for Kyagulanyi to cooperate with the police.
