According to Rwandan girls duo Charly na Nina, Kampala is not safe enough for them to perform and their Labour Day gig has been canceled.

Fatuma Muhoza (Nina) and Charlotte Rulinda (Charly) are famously known for their songs Owooma, Face To Face, Zahabu, Try Me, Uburyohe, among others.

Charly Na Nina have recorded collaborations with a couple of Ugandans (Geosteady, Bebe Cool, Sheebah), held successful shows and won several awards in the +256.

The duo was expected to perform in Kampala on May 1st (Labour Day) together with Geosteady Blackman.

They, however, have canceled their appearance citing security reasons in the capital city of Uganda as confirmed by Nina Muhoza.

We have already canceled the gig we had in Uganda in May over security reasons. Instead, we are much focusing on our upcoming UK tour.

This comes on the back of several events that saw Uganda and Rwanda get involved in a scuffle regarding their borders.

Rwandan citizens were warned by their government against traveling to Uganda due to the increased rate of kidnap and torture cases in the Pearl of Africa.
