The Ugandan political spheres have acquired a new face – Joel Basekezi Ssenyonyi, who was announced as the spokesperson for political pressure group ‘People Power’.

Earlier today morning, Joel Ssenyonyi appeared on video with Kyadondo East MP Bobi Wine alongside his team as the journalist was being ushered into his new role as the new People Power spokesperson.

Bobi has further revealed how important Ssenyonyi is to the People Power group and how paramount he is set to be in the group’s struggle.

In his own words, Bobi Wine notes that Ssenyonyi is an intelligent young Ugandan with unquestionable integrity and an impeccable record for speaking against injustices.

The legislator revealed what a pleasure it is to have the former NTV Uganda journalist ‘join the struggle to liberate our country from oppression and dictatorship’.

Joel Ssenyonyi’s media journey began at UBC TV in 2006. After several years in the industry, he decided to quit last week to start a political career as we close in on 2021.
