Uganda’s youngest rapper Patrick Ssenyonjo a.k.a Fresh Kid has gained his first international award nomination in the Carolina Music Video Awards 2019.

The awards set out to provide a platform for indie music artists from every genre annually and they also recognize exceptional artists from other countries.

The sensational rapper, who has been the talk in town in the recent weeks, gained a nomination in the category of best video for the month of April.

The video for his song titled ‘Bambi’ must have impressed several as it showcased his rap skills as well as the ghetto livelihood that was displayed.

Other Ugandans that got a nomination include Feffe Bussi for his song ‘Yes, No’, Lydia Jazmine for ‘You & Me’, and Ykee Benda for ‘Singa’.

Several American are also nominated in the same category and it will be such a great feat if any of the Ugandans can notch the prize.

The awards are slated to happen on July 20th 2019 at the NASCAR Hall of Fame High Octane Theater in Charlotte, North Carolina.
