Early this year in February, dancehall singer Lubega Kasim a.k.a Yung Mulo was the first artist to drop a hint of wanting to run for the Kampala Mayorship.

Down the road, as other artists – like his former boss Jose Chameleone and Irene Ntale – showed serious intentions of standing for the same seat, the Tebakusobola hit singer decided to fall out of the race.

He made the revelation over the weekend while speaking to this website on our weekly Saturday show – The Podium.

In his own words, Mulo explained that his fans should not be eager to see his face on the ballot papers because he won’t take part in the contest like he had earlier communicated.

Yung Mulo has been quoted many times downplaying Jose Chameleone’s chances of winning the Kampala mayor contest against the current mayor Erias Lukwago.
