It is one thing to be inspired by someone and a totally different feeling to share the limelight – even for a minute – with them.

Jamaican world reggae sensation Buju Banton is set to grace the Ugandan soils this year as his promoter confirms in a video that has gone viral.

In the concert dubbed ‘Long Walk To Freedom’, Buju Banton will perform for his Ugandan fans on 4th September 2019 at Lugogo Cricket Oval.

According to the promoter, Jose Chameleone and Bebe Cool will join Buju who will be accompanied by fellow Jamaican superstars in Morgan Heritage and Beenie Man on stage.

Both Chameleone and Bebe Cool have often mentioned Buju as one of the top acts that inspired them too start their music careers at a young age.

After serving seven of the 10-years sentence in a United States federal prison over drug charges, Buju Banton was released in December 2018.

He has often come off supportive of top Ugandan singer and politician Bobi Wine but we still await to understand whether he will join him on stage come September.
