Season IV of the Rolex Festival dubbed ‘Street Smart’ was launched at the Uganda Independence Monument grounds on Speke Road on the evening of Tuesday 11th June 2019.

A rolex is a combination of an egg omelette and vegetables wrapped in a chapati. This single-portion dish is quick to prepare, and can be eaten at any time of the day, from breakfast to a lunch or supper meal or snack.

The Rolex Festival is an initiative headed by Enid Mirembe in support of the dream to promote the rolex as the destination meal for Uganda.

The past three editions have been a success at the Uganda Museum and now it heads to Lugogo Cricket Oval, for the fourth edition set to happen on 18th August 2019.

Members from the media, a few invited guests, and representatives from Ministry of Tourism, Uganda Police, Africell, Coca Cola, were present to witness the launch and do the rolex tasting of course.

The Minister of Tourism Hon. Godfrey Kiwanda was not available for the event with other state responsibilities to take care of. He was however appropriately represented by Jimmy Andrew Kigozi, a member in the Tourism Development department.
