Amidst his interview with media on Saturday afternoon at Centenary Park, renown events promoter Andrew Mukasa of Bajjo Events was surrounded, arrested and whisked away to an unknown destination by security operatives.

Fellow events promoter Abbey Musinguzi a.k.a Abtex revealed that Bajjo had earlier told them that he had received threats and warnings from unknown people and that he was aware of the arrest.

He kept saying there are men who are tracking and sending him warnings. He said that yesterday but I thought he was drunk so I didn’t take him serious. I don’t know where he was taken.

At the time of arrest, Bajjo and Abtex were addressing media about their planned marathon aimed at raising money for Bobi Wine who is currently banned from holding concerts due to his political influence.

Kampala Metropolitan police spokesperson Luke Owoyesigire denied Uganda Police arresting Bajjo and that leaves a question of whose custody the promoter currently belongs.
