VIP Jemo borrows rhythm from Kassav’s 1989 hit song ‘Ou le’ to create his own thrill on ‘Kanvuge’ – a song likely to grab him a little more shine if not trouble for copyright infringement.

Holding all other factors constant, ‘Kanvuge’ contains a good flow which has become VIP Jemo’s trademark music style since breaking out onto the scene.

It is quite unique how the Kama Ivien Management new signee fuses the urban Luga-Flo vibe on the retro-Zouk beats. Can he redefine Ugandan Hip-hop with this new song? Time will tell.
