Former sports pundit, now evangelist, Joseph Kabuleta was finally released on Police bond on Tuesday evening after spending four days in the coolers.

Mr. Kabuleta was arrested by plain-clothed detectives while at Drew and Jack’s restaurant at Forest Mall, Lugogo, Kampala last Friday on charges of offensive communication against President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.

The Police says, Kabuleta, a the founder of the Watchman Ministries and minister at Zoe Fellowship, repeatedly posted grossly offensive messages under ‘Joseph Kabuleta’s Weekly Rant’.

Kabuleta was released on bond as the DPP determines his case file. If the evidence Police assembled is enough to warrant prosecution, he will be rearrested when he reports to police on bond and take him to take.

Shortly after his arrest, many of his followers and readers of his rants ran to different social media platforms and started demanding for his release under the hashtag #ReturnJosephKabuleta.

His release came after his family and members of his fellowship petitioned the High Court seeking orders to have him produced in court or be released from detention where he had been held since last week.
