The management of Swangz Avenue has issued an apology to St. Mary’s College Kisubi (SMACK) over singer Winnie Nwagi’s inappropriate stage performance at the school last week.

The apology follows a viral video which the singer shared on her social media platforms in which she appears, together with her dancers, erotically grinding her behind on the groins of students.

Her stage acts were heavily criticized to an extent that renown city pastor Martin Ssempa came out and stressed that she had ‘sexually inflamed’ students in a single-sex school.

With so many people having raised a red flag over Nwagi’s performance, the management of Swangz waited for the storm to cool down and they issued the apology below:

We deeply regret the inappropriate performance by Winnie Nwagi at St Mary’s College Kisubi on July 13th. We have investigated the incident and measures have been put in place to avoid a repeat of the same.

This was a huge error in judgment and both the Artist and the management team acknowledge the pain and mistrust caused by this incident. We apologize to the general public, parents of the students in attendance and the school Administration.
