Diamond: Chameleone is East Africa’s legend, a collabo is my dream

This is probably the best news you’ll read today. Maybe, maybe not, depending on how much you value East African music. Two kings of the region are set to work on something soon.

Tanzanian singer Diamond Platnumz is in Uganda ahead of his much anticipated performance at the Comedy Store UG tonight at UMA Showgrounds.

During a presser held at Mestil Hotel on Wednesday evening, the Wasafi Classic Baby CEO revealed that Ugandan music is the best in the region and he holds so much respect for Ugandan art.

Most notably, Diamond picked out Joseph Mayanja a.k.a Jose Chameleone as one of the people he has always adored and looked up to because he has marketed East Africa to the world through his music.

Uganda music is the best music, trust me I love it so much. Here, I respect Jose Chameleone so much. There’s no way you can mention East Africa without mentioning Jose Chameleone.

He’s our legend, our icon. I respect him and I hope one day I’m gonna have a song with him. It’s one of my dreams.
