20-year-old Oliver Nakakande was crowned as the new Miss Uganda 2019/2020 last night after beating 21 other contestants to the top prize.
Nakakande replaced Quiin Abenakyo who was Miss Uganda 2018/19 and who still holds onto the Miss World Africa crown that she won last year after she emerged 2nd runner up during the Miss World beauty pageant in China.
Petronella Acen emerged as the first runner-up while Mariam Nyamatte took the second runner-up place to complete the top three list of winners.
At the end of the crowning ceremony that was held at Sheraton Kampala Hotel, Nakakande drove away in her brand new Toyota Wish Red in Colour branded Miss Uganda.
Congratulations to Nakakande and the team!
