One thing you should always be ready for in Uganda’s entertainment industry is the drama that keeps changing like the weather. Every day, a different story.
In a moment it’s raining so hard and in the next minute the sun is out. You just never know what’s coming your way so you just gotta be ready for whatever.
On Friday, the Miss Uganda 2019 grand finale happened at Sheraton Kampala Hotel as Oliver Nakakande beat 21 other contestants to become the newly crowned Miss Uganda, taking over from Quinn Abenakyo.
Some of the famous faces at the event were Zari Hassan – who was appearing as a judge and patron for the pageant – and Anita Fabiola who was the stage host of the event on the night.
The two stole the show for all the wrong reasons when they appeared to have a small bitter verbal fight just right at the moment before the winner was announced.
Zari seemed irked by Fabiola calling her ‘Mama’ as the NBS TV presenter requested that she reads out the winner of the pageant. The S.A-based socialite declined the request, hitting Fabiola with papers very much to the amusement of those in the crowd.
Zari later came out to reveal that she was passing on a message to Fabiola from fellow socialite, a Kenyan-based Vera Sidika, who claims that the Ugandan media personality was trying to steal her boyfriend. She later deleted the post on Facebook however.
Fabiola on the other hand has not said a single word about the issue and has received massive applause from most of her fans for having handled the situation gracefully.
Several celebrities and the general public has taken sides with some siding with the Bosslady as others condemn her for having chosen the wrong time to address her issues. Take a look at some of the reactions below:
So we ask; with Zari in the red corner and Fabiola in the blue corner, whose side are you on?
