Finally, reggae music fans are going to have a show of their lifetime as one of Uganda’s proven reggae music icons Maddox Ssemanda Sematimba announces dates for his concert.

In January, former Swangz Avenue songbird Irene Ntale pleaded with event organizers to stage a show for Maddox before the end of 2019.

Six months later, the Namagembe singer’s management has announced that he will be performing live in concert in October.

The concert is dubbed ‘Maddox The Legend Live Concert’ and it will be held at Sheraton Gardens Kampala on October 4th 2019. This is the same venue that hosted global reggae music maestro Chronixx in June.

This has been a show that many music fans have been yearning for. For long, Sematimba has been a darling to many especially for his soothing, moving, and comforting music. He has not held a concert in many years however.

With timeless music – one which cuts across all generations – under his name, we anticipate it to become a top contender as the show of the decade.

It is an added advantage that it comes at a time when top musicians in the country have all diverted their ambitions into politics and hence Ugandans are yearning for a good show as the year comes to closure.
