Currently staying in the United Kingdom, singer Ibrahim Mayanja a.k.a Big Eye Starboss plans to further his studies by enrolling for higher learning at the University of East London after the 2021 elections.

Several times, people in the arts industry have been termed as illiterate and incompetent in spheres where academicians prosper.

Even when musicians started invading politics, the first blow that came their way was that they did not belong to the circle because their levels of education were questionable.

Big Eye in particular has often been trolled for reasoning like an unlearned person. This however could be something of the past in two year’s time as he reveals a plan to pursue higher education.

Big Eye in the UK

The singer dropped out of school after the first year at Makerere University as his passion for music overtook the desire for academics. He also reveals that the lack of tuition forced him out of university as well.

With the help of President Y.K. Museveni, Big Eye will be pursuing his dream of achieving higher education at the University of East London after the 2021 general elections in Uganda.

He notes that he chose to study in the UK because his fans in Uganda won’t let him concentrate on his studies while at campus despite the availability of good universities in the country.

I stopped my studies at first year Makerere University then tuition failed and music took me off. Ladies and gentlemen allow me to share the good news to you that after the 2021 elections, I will be IN and OUT for futher studies at the University Of East London.

Some will ask why not in Uganda? It’s because in Uganda my fans won’t let me concentrate well at campus but we do have good Universities. Thank you president Yoweri Kaguta Museveni. Am humbled sir.

Whether this dream can become a reality after 2021 or not is something only time can tell. Can Big Eye go ahead and become a degree holder? We’ll wait and see but it’s a great move.
