Of the sixty new students selected for a twelve-month fully-funded MultiChoice Talent Factory Training program, four are Ugandan filmmakers.

The training is set to take place in in October in Kenya, Zambia and Nigeria and among those selected are; Victoria Nakimbowa, Isiko Abubaker, Daisy Masembe, and Pius Talemwa.

They will join other participants from 12 African countries in the 12-month training program which aims at providing and developing skills of the young generation of film creators.

The sixty candidates were selected after interviews and an adjudication process by film and television experts in the Eastern, Western, and Southern parts of Africa.

This is the second class of the program since its inauguration in May 2018 and the graduates are provided with an opportunity of showcasing their films on M-Net channels and Showmax first.

It is a step in the right direction for all selected candidates and it is something that will positively impact on the Ugandan film industry.
