The Uganda Musicians Association (UMA) offices located at the Uganda National Culture Center (National Theatre) were closed over accumulated rent arrears on Monday.

The offices that are on the second floor of the building are reportedly sealed off following UMA’s failure to foot their dues for the last quarter of the year.

This comes as an embarrassment to the association’s leaders who were sworn in three months ago as the new people in charge of their home at National Theatre.

However, the heads of UMA Sophie Gombya and Ykee Benda plus the National Theatre management have not yet come out with clear statements giving their stand about the reports.
