As earlier reported by this website, Mowzey Radio’s alleged killer Godfrey Wamala a.k.a Troy was produced on Thursday at a High Court session in Entebbe presided over by Lady Justice Jane Francis Abodo.

Godfrey Troy Wamala is suspected of killing Moses Ssekibogo Nakintije a.k.a Mowzey Radio, who died on 1st February 2018 at Case Clinic after a week in intensive care nursing head injuries sustained in a bar fight at the De Bar hangout spot in Entebbe.

On January 22nd 2018, according to prosecution, Troy was seen with Radio at the De Bar drinking, before a scuffle between the singer and other people erupted.

The angered Radio allegedly poured booze on people at the bar before a one Pamela Musimire and another person identified as Ategeka intervened forcing Radio out of the bar.

Troy allegedly grabbed the singer and beat him up outside the bar. He then disappeared into hiding in Kyengera until February 4th 2018 when he handed himself in to police after the death of the singer.

While appearing in court on Thursday, one of Radio’s closest friends and producer David Washington Ebangit – who is also a key witness in the case – pinned Troy as the person who indeed took Radio’s life.

Washington stands before court

He is the gentleman who took my brother’s life Mowzey Radio. I know him by face and name he is called Troy, I knew Sekibogo Moses for 10 years, he is with God.

Members of Mowzey Radio’s family however cite foul play in the case hearing which they say has been sided and turned around to face the direction of people who are not even part of the case.

Radio’s sister, mother, and another member in the family reveal that the witnesses and evidence produced in court on Thursday is planned and the process seems already laid out with the end already known to a few.

The late Mowzey Radio

They claim that the people whom the witnesses are rotating around; including waitresses, and the owner of the De Bar hangout, have never been produced in court.

We are very saddened that this case has failed to find closure. I do not concur with what has been said in court. I urge all the people to go back to YouTube and recheck the interviews of these witnesses. They are now rotating their statements on people who are not present in court.

Mowzey Radio’s sister

They urge the public and Radio’s friends including Lt. Gen. Muhoozi Kainerugaba – who was a friend of the deceased – to come together and ensure that justice is served because the few members of the family may not be able to do it on their own.
