Monday evening saw the management of Fame Lounge and Restaurant terminate MC Kat’s contract as an External Marketing Personnel and he was consequently fired for several reasons that were underlined in a statement seen by this website.

Some of the reasons the management pointed out included; MC Kats, real name Edwin Katamba, belittling the venue’s patrons and customers, persistently taking stock at credit from the bar, accumulated unpaid bills, not being able to make the expected sales yet asking for huge sums as payment each Wednesday night, among other reasons.

MC Kats is one of the most celebrated city emcees and has made his name as an events emcee and has organised successful nights at several hangouts around Kampala.

In reply to the released statement, MC Kats reveals that he has never been fired but he was being underpaid by the Fame Lounge’s management yet he was the reason the bar was making so much money in the nights he hosted.

He further emphasizes that the ‘Meet Celebrity Wednesdays’, where he hosts different celebrities at the bar on Wednesdays, is his own registered concept and he is taking it with him.

He has vowed to make several TV interviews to clear this matter and expose several secrets concerning why other night hosts left Fame Lounge. In a statement posted on his social media platforms, MC Kats had this to say:

I Have worked in the Bar business for close to 15 years My CV at Guvnor Uganda, Rouge, Club Sway with Rajiv Ruparelia, Nexus Lounge. I have never ever been fired but when you treat me like I’m not making you money, I walk. Am not from a broke family but I choose this Road coz its what I Love.

MEET CELEBRITY WEDNESDAY won’t happen this week at Fame Kampala. We will tell you our new home next week. It’s my idea and it’s registered with my lawyers. Let’s see why Siesta left Fame. I will do TV interviews soon. Got this bar making 400k on Wednesdays, I was making 8 to 10M for them.
