The Kampala Fashion Week (KFW) is back for yet another edition and one of the most anticipated for showcases features Nina Mirembe’s Nina Mire’ 2020 Spring/Summer collection.

Nina Mirembe is an ex-fashion model and an upcoming fashion designer. She’s the managing director of NINA MIRE’ – a young Ugandan brand that produces handmade swimwear and festival garments.

The KFW is an organization that creates and manages fashion shows in Uganda with goals set towards contributing to the development of the East African fashion industry on the global scale.

Happening for the 6th edition, KFW’s motive is to promote African fashion on a global scale and to contribute to fashion education in Uganda through promoting emerging and established talented Ugandan designers, as well as Eastern Regional talent.

Nina Mirembe and Nigeria’s Ekete at the KFW 5th edition 2018. They put together Festival/Beachwear SS19 Collection composed of handmade crochet garments and woven bags.

The three-day event will take place from 26th September to 28th of September at Yamasen Japanese restaurant in Muyenga with doors opening at 5pm each day.

Other fashion houses/fashionistas involved include Gloria Wavamunno, Margaux Wong, Bold In Africa, Kona, Catherine & Sons, among others. Being a big international show, several special appearances are expected and you cannot miss this one.
