Tanzanian crooner and KondeBoy Gang boss Harmonize has raised a suggestion that East African music as a whole should be re-branded to AfroEast music.

While stating his suggestion, the former Wasafi Records singer pointed out that it makes more sense when Kenyan, Ugandan, Rwandan, Burundian, and Tanzanian music is termed as AfroEast music rather than the old style where each nation had its own style.

He mostly based his point on songs that will contain the Kiswahili language as he aims at being the pioneer of the new brand with plans to make it global.

Harmonize’s suggestion comes at a time when Tanzanian music is dominating East Africa and at the same time after causing a clash between Ugandan artistes Jose Chameleone and Kenzo over the Inabana song.

With his idea well-received, do you think Ugandan artists should go ahead and support it?
