Eddy Kenzo and Ahumuza Bryan C.E.O Abryanz Style and Fashion Awards

We are now counting days to the major event after the 2019 Abryanz Style and Fashion Awards were officially launched with a Fashionpreneur Summit and Nominations Party held on Saturday 26th October 2019.

Abryanz Style and Fashion Awards is an event held annually in Kampala to celebrate Africa’s leading players in the fashion, style and beauty space. The Awards show celebrates and acknowledges African Fashion Industry stakeholders including Fashion Designers, Models, Icon, Media Influencers amongst others.

The Fashionpreneur Summit was an interactive business workshop focused on the role of fashion, and the creatives industry in shaping the economy. Attendees received expert tips on how to monetize their projects, seek funding, market their brands, manage finances and more from a panel of business and creative professionals.

Some of the panelists included Mitchelle Omamteer, Sonia Karamagi, Teddy Ruge, Gloria Wavamunno, Bettinah Tianah, Oliver Nakakande, Humphrey Nabimanya, Fatumah Asha, Alexander Kibandama, Agaba Tumusiime, among others.

The 2019 ASFAs set out to celebrate the role that youth play in influencing change and on their integral exertion to the world of fashion. Every year, the ASFAs are kicked off with a diverse theme that becomes an imperative element to the main event and this year’s theme is “HOW YOU CAN LET THE STAR IN YOU SHINE”.

Key fashion industry stakeholders shared their source of inspiration, discussed the challenges they face as fashionpreneurs, and spoke on their experiences while debating the solutions to empower the next generation of fashionpreneurs.

The Nominations Cocktail party was also held at which several fashionpreneurs,designers, icons, stylists, musicians, and other celebrities were nominated in different categories ahead of the awards that will be crowned with a ceremony in December.

The ASFAs ceremony is always filled with pomp, glamour and all of the lights, action, and so much more. This year’s awards are slated for 13th December at Kampala Serena Hotel.
