Every big star has a story that will inspire his fans and at some points kill them with laughter, or otherwise. Part of Grenade Official’s hustle involved stealing rabbits for Jose Chameleone and not receiving payment.

Today, with a couple of hit songs and performances on the major stages, Grenade Official is one of the stars to watch in the Ugandan entertainment industry. A big star for several youths trying to achieve their dreams.

The former Team No Sleep singer started out as a young boy and is no stranger to the hustle. During an interview on Galaxy FM, the ‘Nkuloga’ singer revealed that Chameleone played an important role in his early life.

As a young child, at the age of six, Grenade was one of the sharp kids in Lyantonde and he vividly remembers meeting Chameleone for the first time when the Leone Island boss visited the town for a performance.

Chameleone wanted rabbits and Grenade knew where to get them because he had a friend who used to rare them so he went and got two rabbits without being noticed thinking that he would then return to pay as soon as Chameleone paid him.

Sadly, the singer didn’t pay but rather invited him to join his crew prior to the show that night. Grenade consequently got closer to Chameleone and he remembers travelling on one of the singer’s vehicles (which transported sound equipment) on his journey to Kampala and he has never looked back since.
