Jamaican music icon Mr. Vegas, real name Clifford Smith, sticks to his stand in backing Ugandan singer-cum-politician Hon. Robert Kyagulanyi Sentamu a.k.a Bobi Wine ahead of the 2021 presidential elections.
Ugandans will vote for their next president come February 2021. One of the biggest contenders of the forthcoming elections is Bobi Wine who announced that he will indeed contest for the anticipated elections.
The People Power leader has already received endorsements from several renown figures in both the entertainment industry and the political spheres allover the globe.
None however has made it crystal clear that they’re ready to do whatever it takes to see that Bobi Wine becomes the next elected Ugandan Head Of State.
The Jamaican singer has in recent months always acclaimed his love and support for the Kyadondo East Member of Parliament. He is back again to reaffirm his stand on the matter.
Through a video, the Jamaican laid out the reasons why he believes that now is the time when Uganda experiences change and that the nation has been blessed with the most appropriate candidate whom he endorses.
I want all my Ugandan brothers and sisters to know that I endorse Bobi Wine for the next president of Uganda.Mr. Vegas
Mr. Vegas is very aware of several critics who keep asking why he is so interested in Uganda’s politics. He had this to say about that:
I was in Uganda twice as an African. My brother Mega Dee called me to the side and named me ‘Suubi’. I said “what does that mean?” and he said Suubi means hope. This is a great manifestation because now the hope is here. The hope I personally believe, for Uganda, is Bobi Wine.Mr. Vegas
The ‘Am Blessed’ singer then further reveals how he is counting on the people of Uganda to go on and effect the change that the whole world is waiting to see.
