Ernest Nsimbi, popularly known as GNL Zamba, is still the king of the Hip-hop Kingdom in Uganda at least according to the teens in the land.

At the 2019 Buzz Teeniez Awards (BTA) which took place yesterday at the MTN Warehouse in Lugogo, several celebrities flocked the venue to perform for their young fans as other appeared to collect their awards.

GNL Zamba was neither nominated nor scheduled for a performance but his gigantic figure was in the vicinity at the most anticipated for teens awards.

When it was time to announce the winner of the prestigious Artiste of the Year award, the Luga-Flo rapper was called onto stage to do the honors and present the award to the artiste who has stood out this year.

The crowds erupted as the rapper made his way to the stage hand-in-hand with his wife and music partner in the Nsimbis duo, Miriam Tamar.

To no surprise, John Blaq was given the award but what a moment it must have been for GNL Zamba to know that his music and fame has evolved with influence across all generations.

The rapper returned to Uganda a few weeks ago and he plans to release new music for his always loyal fans.
