Ugandan Emcees start up House Of MCs Association

Slowly, each sector in the Ugandan entertainment industry is realizing the importance of organizing themselves and working in unison than the old adage of “each man for himself.”

Just like the Deejays, Producers, Songwriters, and Musicians, the MCs have also started their own association dubbed House Of MCees Association Uganda.

The association was formed on Sunday 8th December 2019 after an official meeting held at Kololo-based Fame Lounge and Restaurant.

Over 20 emcees; including bar emcees, events emcees, local and corporate emcees, attended the meeting individually to discuss a way forward for the newly formed association.

At the very meeting, team heads were elected and briefed about their position and roles in the association.

MC Casmir was elected as the Chairman, MC Mats Reloaded was elected as Assistant Chairman, Evon MC was picked as Secretary, Caroline March as the Treasurer, Morgan MC as the Chief Whip.

The Chief Mobilizer slot was given to MC Ollo, and MC Pato was deservedly accorded the poisition of Publicity.

Can they go ahead and revolutionize the MCeeing industry? That will take much effort and we can give them the support needed to see how far they can go to achieve the set goals. Time will tell but it’s a step in the right direction.
