2021 Uganda presidential hopeful and Kyadondo East Member of Parliament Hon. Kyagulanyi Robert Ssentamu a.k.a Bobi Wine has maintained that Yvonne Chaka Chaka was deported from Uganda.

In just a space of three hours, we have several twists to the story regarding South African singer Yvonne Chaka Chaka’s existence in Uganda.

First, it was rumors that she had been deported from Uganda because of her affiliations to Bobi Wine who is an opposition stronghold. The rumors spread for a while before Uganda Police made a public statement.

In a video accessed by this website, the Uganda Police spokesperson confirmed that Chaka Chaka had indeed been deported from Uganda, back to South Africa via Rwanda.

It didn’t even last an hour before we had a video posted on Chaka Chaka’s social media platforms revealing that she was okay and had not been kidnapped nor deported as earlier stated.

Bobi Wine does not buy the talk and in his Tweet, the self-proclaimed Ghetto President maintained that Chaka Chaka, who was slated to perform at the Nkuuka Yomwaka show tonight, had indeed been deported by the police.

Our friends from abroad have attracted the wrath of the state for openly supporting our struggle for freedom. Today international icon Yvonne Chaka Chaka was deported from Uganda. Whatever reasons the security agencies give, we all know the regime is afraid of her SONGS OF FREEDOM!
