In a city that is widely known for its exciting party lifestyle, there are people that make it possible for revelers to enjoy spending their ka money at the popular night hangouts. One of those is Ratibu Urban.

At 22-years-old, Ratibu Urban is one of the most celebrated marketeers of most theme nights around town. The gossip corridors in the entertainment industry have it that he is the most paid bar host. How then has he managed to rise in the ranks to such a position in just a few years?

For the huge reputation that already follows him, it is hard to believe that Urban – a former celebrity stylist – started bar hosting and marketing in 2016. He started out the hustle at The Establishment Club located next to the popular Club Guvnor.

He then moved on to Sky Beach, Freedom City where he managed to turn up Sunday nights at the venue. It is there that he introduced himself to most people that have since become part of his growth and development.

Urban also created his own company, the Urban Empire, which deals in Branding, Fashion, Marketing, Events, Talent Managing, Showbiz and Music Promotion.

Over the years, he has become one of the best Marketeers specializing in promoting hangouts dealing mostly with reputable brands and events in the city. He also designs several celebrities through his company located in Munyonyo.

He has styled a couple of celebrities including Eddy Kenzo, Radio and Weasel, Jose Chameleone, Pallaso, Ziza Bafana, Desire Luzinda, Bad Black, Zani Brown, Nutty Neithan, Ceaserous, Mary Bata, King Michael, among others.

In his endeavors, Urban has managed to work with some international celebrities including Nigeria’s Davido and Tanzania’s Ali Kiba. He hosted the latter at a successful Meet And Greet Party in September 2019 together with Shaddy Boo.

Ratibu’s source of income has always been questioned especially due to his close connections to the wealthy socialites including Bad Black. The soft-spoken Urban has never really revealed where he cashes in but he is a hardworking man.

When you go around the popular bars, his theme nights at different spots attract massive crowds something which has created huge demand for him by different bar owners.

In the past, there have been some really great names when it comes to bar theme nights hosting including Gareth Onyango, Nickita Evas Bachu, among others. Urban is the current wave and only time will tell the extent of his success.

Whatever you choose to take out of this piece, Ratibu Urban is a gem, for a fact, in this business and deserves some respect on his name.
