Renown artiste and songwriter Blackskin, real name Fredrick Ssenyonga, is on the hunt for justice following his son Bob Semanda’s death.
Blackskin is well known in the local entertainment circles for his role as a singer, producer and songwriter.
He is the brains behind several dancehall and ragga hit songs for the likes of Bebe Cool, A Pass, Sheebah, Chameleone, Pallaso, and many others.
On Monday, through his Facebook account, Blackskin opened up about how his son Bob Semanda was shot dead.
According to Blackskin, his son was shot dead at Namayiba Bus Park and when he reached out to police to find out who shot his son, all they said was “sorry.”
In the same post, Blackskin mentions how he worked for the Ministry of Trade and was never paid for his labour.
He says that he is never going to rest until he finds justice for his fallen son even if it takes his own life.
I worked for the Ministry of Trade and I was never paid now after all that my son was shot dead in Namayiba bus park and the police is saying sorry. I want to know how I should swallow this as a parent.
Rest in peace my son Bob Semanda. Am gonna look for justice even if it means taking my life.Blackskin
He also shared a photo of his deceased son and the report from the KCCA mortuary revealing how he died from gunshot injuries.
We hope he achieves justice and may his son’s soul rest in peace.
