Renown events organiser and NRM supporter Balaam Barugahara denies being part of the organising team at the 2021 Presidential Swearing In ceremony at Kololo.
Several invited guests attended the Presidential Swearing In ceremony at Kololo Airstrip on Wednesday 12th May, 2021.
Of those included heads of state, ambassadors, diplomats, and other international dignitaries who flocked Kololo Airstrip to witness H.E Yoweri Museveni taking oath to kickoff his sixth term.
The event was a success save for a few mishaps that happened especially the poor organisation that was witnessed at the venue.
Several images made rounds online showing VIP guests uncomfortably seated on uncovered plastic chairs, something which most Ugandans found ashaming.
Several started pointing fingers at the organisers and Balaam, having often worked with the NRM, was singled out as part of the problem.
Through his Facebook account, the events organiser revealed that he was not part of the organisers and that the job was handled by Digida Events.
Balaam further noted that him too was disappointed with the poor job done by the organiser of the day.
He also hinted on how the humiliating event should be a learning experience for government to plan well on next events.
I have seen this and many more. I want to make it clear I was not involved in Kololo Event planning or sound provision . Whatever happened I have nothing to do with it.
The event was managed by Digida Events. However this should be a key learning experience we should plan well next time this humiliation to our great important invited guests shouldn’t happen again.
A nice vip chair hire cost 3000shs from Fotegenix, a sit cover hire cost is 350shs. Apologies to all the humiliated guests on behalf of all Ugandans.Balaam Barugahara Ateenyi
