Despite being comfortable at Swangz Avenue, Winnie Nwagi does not earn the most money at the record label and that should change according to her father.

Last week, we wrote a story about Winnie Nwagi’s father Henry Kabiito defending his daughter’s skimpy dressing and controversial lifestyle.

In his own understanding, Nwagi’s father noted that his daughter is judged and criticised harshly yet she is living a life she wants to.

In another development, the Swangz Avenue singer’s father reveals how he is not really happy with some of the terms in her contract with the record label.

During an interview with media, Henry noted that Nwagi does not really earn a lot of money and hence hasn’t benefitted much from her music thus far.

He continues to say that some of the contact terms are unfavourable especially the one that prohibits her from performing at family functions for free.

Nwagi renewed her contract with the industrial area based record label in October 2020 but her dad hopes things will change in time to come.

You know she has a contract where she earns a salary. It is not a lot of money so I cannot say we benefit much. The contract had many unfavorable terms; one which prohibits her from performing at family functions for free. I had to protest against that. I hope the other things will also change.

About two years ago, there were rumors about Nwagi being on the verge of quitting Swangz Avenue.

She, however, stuck with the label that has stood with her despite the criticism that goes her way especially to do with her lifestyle.
