Talent Africa Group signed a recording deal with rising singer Lamu. She was unveiled on Monday and dropped her very first project under the label.
Ahlamu Ismael a.k.a Lamu, born in Soroti, is a Ugandan recording artist who sings in English, Swahili, and Luganda.
The 24-year-old bubbly songstress was unveiled on Monday 24th May, 2021 in a sundowner cocktail
event at the Talent Africa offices in Kololo.
A couple of musicians and members from the media were invited to witness the unveiling of the next big thing on the entertainment scene.

Talent Africa Group CEO, Aly Allibhai hailed Lamu for being hard working, versatile, and creative in her art.
Lamu recently signed an audio and visual recording deal with TAG studios and Talent Africa Group as her official booking agency.

Through Talent Africa, Lamu also got the opportunity to be part of the select showcase of the East African sound at first ever virtual MIDEM global music conference organized in September 2020.
Lamu revealed how working with Talent Africa is a dream come true during a recent interview with Crystal A. Newman.
I always wanted to work with Talent Africa and ironically, most people thought we were related to Aly since I have a brother called Ali Allibhai.

Her dreams came true when Bryan Kella McKenzie, who handles Artists’ Relations at TAG Studios, invited her for their maiden project, ‘The Lockdown series’.
The jolly beauty recorded a couple of songs and initiated the discussion that would later get her signed.
On her unveiling party on Monday, Lamu Lamu also launched her latest audio and video titled ‘Beautiful’.
Lamu refers to ‘Beautiful’ as a love letter to herself. She notes that the song highlights the beauty of how special each one of us is.
The new song is an urban inspirational song that will lift anyone’s spirit at first listen and is available on YouTube, Spotify and iTunes.
