Sony Music Entertainment singer Vinka denies hiding her pregnancy and why the public never got to see her baby bump until she gave birth.

On January 19th 2021, former Swangz Avenue singer Veronica Luggya a.k.a Vinka gave birth to a bouncing baby girl.

If you are an ardent MBU reader, the news of Vinka giving birth didn’t catch you by surprise. We knew it before most people did.

Despite the several reports from different other blogs, at no time did Vinka come out in the public to reveal she was pregnant.

On her social media platforms as well, the photo she shared always hid her stomach area and it was a miracle seeing her anywhere in public.

She also stayed away from the online music shows which were trending during the COVID-19 lockdown that had been imposed in March 2020.

The first photo of Vinka’s baby bump that was shared to the public only came after she had given birth, leaving people wondering why she had to hide the pregnancy for that long.

While in an interview with Spark TV, the singer denied hiding her pregnancy. Her reason? She says people did not see it because they were under lockdown.

The singer went ahead to reveal how she continued to work even when she was pregnant and wonders how people can say that she hid the pregnancy.

When I was pregnant, I continued working and I constantly posted pictures of myself. I was already pregnant when I shot the Love Panic video, so how do you tell me that I hid?

The Love Panic visuals were published on YouTube on July 27th 2020, five months into the 2020 lockdown.

She further said that the public didn’t know about the pregnancy because we were in lockdown and there were not many events.

You guys didn’t get to see me because there weren’t many movements since we were in lockdown but I continued performing.

Vinka’s pregnancy, plus the baby shower, and her introduction ceremony all came during the lockdown but they were kept a secret.

The baggy clothes, good video and photo edits, plus staying away from the public did the trick and several other local celebrities seem to be copying the trend.
